Join the Hobbs Chamber
We’re sometimes asked by prospective members, “Why should my business be a member of the Hobbs Chamber of Commerce?” Our answer is simple: “Support the organization that supports you.”
When the federal government paved the way for chambers of commerce to receive tax-exempt status, Uncle Sam was very clear in saying such nonprofits’ activities could not be directed toward an individual’s benefit, but rather a collective benefit.
Through policy, advocacy, member education and cooperative marketing, we’re providing the tools and creating the environment for our members to thrive. The following are examples of the tools available to our members.

Ambassadors (Volunteers): We invite our members to recommend and encourage their employees to volunteer, from celebrating business ribbon-cuttings to assisting with special events. The regular volunteer activities of our volunteers are ideal for those who specialize in sales, business development, public relations and more.
Member Education: From customer service to effective leadership, the Hobbs Chamber provides relevant and valuable training to its members for free or at group discounts.
Business After Hours: Hosted each month by a different Hobbs Chamber member business, these come-as-you-are, come-and-go events attract a crowd and provide a fun atmosphere for networking.
Committees: Member representatives may participate in any of our active committees that assist the Hobbs Chamber in its mission.
Marketing: Mailing labels and our bulk-mailing permit are available to Hobbs Chamber members for their mailings. Members are invited to provide our office with brochures and other marketing materials. Member representatives are also invited to place business cards in our wall display.
Member Referrals: The Hobbs Chamber receives dozens of inquiries each week regarding products and services in the Hobbs area. Members are always referred.
Community Guide & Business Directory: These full-color, "coffee-table quality" magazines are the most comprehensive guides to the area, packed with community information such as housing, shopping, dining, government and much more. The membership directory lists only Hobbs Chamber members.
Internet Exposure: The Hobbs Chamber website, hobbschamber.org, is a “go to” source for area business and community information. Only members are listed in the searchable business directory.
The Chamber Chronicle: The Hobbs Chamber's monthly newsletter informs members of new opportunities, provides the latest local business data, and allows members to share their good news. Members are invited to do business-to-business advertising through this medium.
Community Street Map: Each year the Hobbs Chamber distributes thousands of street maps. Only Hobbs Chamber members may advertise on this widely used marketing piece.
Firm Foundation Corporate Sponsorships: Member sponsors receive exceptional visibility for the exceptional leadership they demonstrate in supporting Hobbs Chamber member programming as a Granite, Marble, Slate or Sandstone sponsor. LEARN MORE.
